Grayshott Cricket Club - Rebranding their Website
Grayshott Cricket Club wanted to create a website that reflected their inclusive and vibrant community club. A club where new cricketers and country champions could be equally at home. The website’s aim was to be a hub for members, coaches and potential members. At the same time the brand’s visual identity needed to be sharped to reflect that vibrancy online.
We started with three steps.
Defining the website’s purpose and audience.
Created a consistent brand identity and tone of voice.
Focused on user Experience (UX) and functionality.
An early insight showed that both new and existing members were struggling to find the information they needed quickly and easily. This often left them frustrated and created extra work for the club’s volunteers. Most of the content was already there, but it was either hard to locate or written in a way that wasn’t user-friendly.
We also discovered that most users accessed the site online, making it essential to create a seamless and enjoyable experience. A beautiful website is meaningless if it’s difficult to use or slow to load, so we focused on improving site speed, making the site mobile-friendly, and simplifying navigation. We carefully mapped out user journeys to ensure the site felt intuitive and welcoming. Adding an FAQ page provided members with quick answers to common questions, reducing the burden on volunteers and making it easier for everyone to find what they needed.
To ensure the new site could easily be found, we updated the SEO to boost visibility and organic traffic. We launched the rebranded site with an engaging campaign, inviting members and sponsors to explore the new website and helped to build excitement and connection with the club’s online presence.
